partypoker LIVE ist schon längere Zeit Partner der World Poker Tour (WPT) und gemeinsam hat man schon einige sehr erfolgreiche Events veranstaltet. Nun lädt man gemeinsam zur ersten WPT Online Series, bei der von 3. bis 20. Mai mehr als $30.000.000 an Preisgelder garantiert sind.
Die Online Serie verbindet die drei Vorzeigeformate der WPT, dazu kommen noch 37 weitere Events, die für jede Bankroll Abwechslung bringen. Außerdem gibt es von den meisten teuren Events auch eine Mini-Ausführung, die auch Spielern mit kleineren Bankrolls WPT Feeling gibt. Phasenturniere und Satellites bieten die Gelegenheit, sich über kleines Geld in die Hauptbewerbe zu spielen.
Die drei Key Events der Serie:
$3.200 WPT Championship Event ($5.000.000 GTD)
$530 WPT500 ($2.000.000 GTD)
$1.050 WPTDeepStacks ($2.000.000 GTD)
Die Garantiesummen der Serie sind durchaus hoch angesetzt, der Erfolg der letzten Online-Ersatzformate für abgesagte Live-Events verspricht aber einiges. Die Turniere werden mit den Real Names gespielt. Die WPT Online Series hat einen eigenen Tab im Client von partypoker.com.
